Markus Videnieks - President
Markus Videnieks is a policy strategist with more than 20 years of experience advancing client priorities through Congress and federal agencies. At Milestone, he works with clients across transportation, workforce development, outdoor recreation, energy, and agriculture to secure durable legislative, regulatory, and funding outcomes.
Markus has helped clients obtain federal funding for critical projects through the appropriations process (Congressionally Directed Spending) and has successfully pushed back against regulatory overreach by agencies whose policies often overlook real-world impacts.
His experience includes leading industry-wide coalitions and working on presidential campaigns, giving him a deep understanding of both policymaking and political dynamics. Born and raised in Washington, Markus's first job while in high school was as a Senate Page and he has returned to those legislative and political roots throughout his career. He is a graduate of Miami University and lives in Maryland with his family.
